I received almost same-day complete service for an urgent root canal with Dr. Milan and her staff at the Orinda EndoCare office. I called them on Saturday afternoon and spoke to the on-call Endodontist, who carefully and efficiently listened to my symptoms, explained what she thought was going on, with the caveat that it was a phone consult and that I should really come in soon for a comprehensive evaluation, which I appreciate since I am a physician. She was spot-on with her phone consult. On Monday morning, Deb at the front desk reviewed my insurance coverage ahead of time and gave me what turned out to me a very accurate estimate of my insurance coverage and what was left for me to pay. That way I knew going into the procedure what the cost was going to be. Dr. Milan and her staff fit me in during a time that worked for my difficult work schedule, showed me what was going on with their high resolution digital imaging xray screens, before, during and after the procedure. They closed up and filled so that I wouldn't have to waste time going back to my regular dentist to finish the job. Dr. Milan and her assistants did an excellent job of the root canal and fill overall. I only wish they did a bit more explanation during the procedure so I knew exactly what was going on, but I might be in the minority of patients who want that. I also found out later that the procedure had used up my maximum benefit for any dental service for the year (e.g. I had to pay completely out of pocket for the routine dental cleaning I got later this year and didn't realize I had to till after the service), so it would have been useful if they had explained that to me so I could anticipate that cost going forward. All in all, I received very efficient, high quality and respectful service, and I am happy to have that toothache gone and fully repaired.
