I'm pretty frustrated with Ellis Garage Door. They made a mistake installing the door and now they want to charge me more to make it right. Photos of the situation available here: https://imgur.com/a/vp4NYtR I ordered a door and track replacement from Ellis Garage Door. They were responsive in scheduling the installation. The installation team arrived on the day as scheduled and proceeded with the installation. At the end of the installation, I inspected the work. I pointed out problems with gaps between the garage side jambs and the house. These gaps hadn't been there before the installation. The installer dismissed my concerns, saying it wasn't a problem and left. A couple days later, I was able to take the flashing off the jamb and I realized that the jamb had been pulled out of the house when they removed the old tracks. They installed the new tracks and door into the jamb that was now just sitting on the ground and leaning against the house, not anchored into the ground or the house. I called Ellis up to come address the issue. They sent an installer out to take a look (really nice guy). He agreed that there was an issue and tried to fix it by wedging a small piece of wood under the side jamb. When he left, the door was crooked and the weather striping wasn't flush. I left another voicemail with the office stating there were still issues that need addressed. The installer called me back today. He told me it would be $250 to take the door back down and then replace the jambs. It's $12 for a pressure treated 4x4 at the local hardware store, let's call it 2 for $25 for the wood for both jambs. I'm not sure how the other $225 is justified. I asked to talk to 'the boss' but haven't heard back. Overall, I'm disappointed.
