We started a kitchen remodel project in October that was supposed to be done by Thanksgiving. There was delay after delay delay. First the cabinets were delayed, so the contractor picked up another job while we waited. When the cabinets were finally delivered, I had to wait for contractors to finish the job they started during the time lapse. When the contractor was ready to start, he opened boxes and realized the Woodland rep ordered the wrong cabinets so there was another three week delay. The second shipment arrived and the shipment was damaged. The third shipment was the wrong size and had warped doors. It took nearly four months to complete a job that was expected to be done in 6-8 weeks. My entire first floor was torn up, so much that my kids had pop tarts for Christmas breakfast. There was also a problem with my custom bathroom cabinets. The representative didn't think the cabinet I ordered would look right, so he improvised with what he thought would look better. It is upsetting that the representative took it upon themselves to do that. Each employee passed the buck off on other people. They were never remorseful about anything. The entire job cost me about $70k to date and no one apologized, let alone compensated me with a discount for my losses, hardships or the anguish I endured through the process.
