Invited them to quote their best price for a furnace replacement. Their estimator was OK, except that rather than keep our appointment he decided he wanted to come earlier that day. He seemed knowledgeable enough and answered my questions. But he didn't provide a written quote. Instead, he showed me his computer screen so I could see that his price was THOUSANDS higher than other quotes for the same furnace. When I mentioned that, the appointment turned into something ugly. He insisted on knowing who had given me quotes, what brands they were, and he wanted to see the quotes. I declined. He continued to insist. I continued to decline saying I didn't have to provide that information to him. He also told me that I qualified for discounts when I know otherwise. He told me I was wrong! To make matters worse, his boss called me and got on the same horse, demanding information from me that he doesn't need in order to give me a quote for his service. His hard sell was very unpleasant and beyond aggressive. I did my best to fend him off and continued to ask for his written quote, which he ignored. I finally asked him to call back later but he continued to make his demands, so I ended the call. What a nasty experience.

I have used S&R for 35 years. They practice integrity and have installed 2 HVAC systems, water softener, water filtration system. Staff is well trained, on time, pleasant and neat. Rob 'repaired' my furnace over the phone!
