Kelly's price for the heater and installation was within 5% of other plumbers I called, so I called the price "Adequate". They did, however, finish the job within two hours rather than the 2-3 hours they quote up front and I already had the required local shutoffs in place, so the total job came to less than I was quoted up front. They also took care of the permit that is required in my city; other plumbers told me they'd get a permit only if I made them get one.
Kelly offers the option of letting me get the heater that they would install on a time-and-materials basis. I chose not to do that. Kelly was not at all evasive about which models of heater they sell (not bottom-of-the-line) and were open about options like extended warranties. No pressure and no making me feel I was cheap for not "buying up the line."
The plumber that did the work was efficient and the work neat. He told me what to expect and he (and the old water heater) left. Happy to have had them do the work.
