I believe a floor store has two main components: selection and service.
Selection: It's hard for me to believe that you could walk out of Schneider without finding a floor material (or a few) that you like. That said, it's a smaller store, so many of the choices are presented in sample books, which are strewn all over the store. There are larger displays for the bigger manufacturers and the staff probably can show you examples of almost any kind of flooring you're interested in. But if you're the type who has to get your hands on a few square feet of exactly what you're thinking of buying, other stores in town seem to offer more.
My sense is that Schneider doesn't do a lot of business in recycled/sustainable flooring because it isn't prominently displayed here. Good selection, though -- th brands you'll find at other stores in town (save the super-cheap job-lot stuff sold at liquidation stores and big-box home stores).
Service: Here is where Schneider shines. They've got a bunch of good installers/techs who have been with Schneider for quite a while (though n.b., some of them are subcontractors). They are friendly, courteous, work efficiently, and know what they're doing.
We had installed a kitchen floor and even though the scope of the job embiggened once the installers got here, they dealt with it with no issue. There was one callback for a related issue; when the original installer was not available at the scheduled time another Schneider employee came out to take care of things just so we didn't have to wait and reschedule. Excellent service.
