We had the furnace/boiler stop working(it couldn’t be started or so they said). This was in February and they could see our fear as we are in our 80’s and my husband has Alzheimer’s. They quoted $14,300 and charged us that. Later we learned from Boehm that $8,000 was a fair price for that work. We know we were cheated.

We had a main-line sewer back-up Feb 2024. We called Bonfe where the service call was to be $99. The service call rapidly increased with a lot of fancy, fast-talk while our being in a crisis situation. $99, became, $600, then $1938, then a high-pressure sales job with increasing dollar numbers with supposed discounts tossed about. Requests to the 'sales rep' to put things in writing was delayed over & over. All the verbal promises were never put in writing. What should have been a simple job for a professional turned into a 'major' crisis for us to the tune of $14,092. The promised written guarantee has never arrived, and a promise for the sales rep's supervisor to call us has not materialized. My gut told me we were being ripped off, but our house was in a mess, and they took the whole month of February to complete the job. Several times the request was made for the rep to put what he was saying writing. His response each time was that all of that would be in writing for us when the job was completed. My 90-year-old husband had just gotten out of the hospital the end of January after being diagnosed the end of Dec w/pneumonia. I'm not embarrassed to admit we were sitting ducks for a highly unscrupulous, high-pressure salesman/company. Steer clear of Bonfe

Bonfe fixed a plumbing issue with my kitchen sink and dishwasher. They were polite, prompt, and upfront about the work and the costs. It was a very pleasant experience and I will be using them in the future.
