Don't go with these guys. They spent a lot of time giving us unhelpful advice and then charging us for it. They really wanted us to give them a percentage of our portfolio every year to manage our money for us and when we decided just to go with a one-time plan, they didn't seem happy with that. There are 2 guys, father and son and the son sat in on all the meetings and charged their rate of $180 per hour even though he never did any of the work (and therefore didn't need to be in the meetings). The documents he did give us were confusing and he was not good at explaining it to us. When I told him we didn't understand much about the issues being discussed and that's why we hired them, he said he couldn't believe we had this much money and had never know how to manage it. He helped my fiancee fill out a form that he suggested he file, and the IRS came back with a letter telling him there were irregularities. When my fiancee contacted Rod to help him with this, Rod basically brushed him off. We would sometimes send emails and not hear back for a week.
