Hero bought out the HVAC company I had used for several years, Metro Air of Prior Lake, MN, sometime in late 2023. Hero never informed former customers of this change. They just showed up for my regularly scheduled furnace tune-up. I had had a Customer Care Club membership ($15/month) with Metro Air for 2 years. After this take-over by Hero the monthly charges ended. I assumed my membership was now defunct. However, 9 months later I noticed a $15 charge to my credit card from Hero. I immediately called to have this charge reversed and my membership cancelled. The representative assured me this would be taken care of. The next month my credit card was again charged. I called Hero back. A different representative again assured me that the membership would be cancelled and all charges reversed. The next month there was no charge to my credit card but no reversal of the two charges. I called four more times asking about the reversal. Each time I spoke to a different representative who assured me that the reversal was going to happen. I feel this company is all about making a profit regardless of customers’ needs. Indeed, after that first furnace tune-up the technician included price estimates for products that were never even mentioned to me in person. Hero began bombarding me with emails prodding me to take another look at the technician’s recommendation.
