Black Beard did a beautiful job on a very difficult and multi-color deck design and theirs was the lowest bid by far of multiple estimates. Brent, the owner, was very easy and fun to work with and he really does have a black beard. They came back once to take care of a minor problem and stand by their work.

We had a 25 year old deteriorated cedar deck 'rebuilt'. We decided to try to salvage the frame, as the pressure treated lumber appeared to be in good shape. After consulting a couple of firms we went with Blackbeard who was easy to work with. The contracted work was for 'Trex' flooring and aluminum railings. The backlog was several weeks, but the crew appeared at the scheduled time and did a great job. Uncovered was ant damage and a previous contractor's 'bonehead' attachment to the house. Blackbeard fixed the problems without an upcharge. A first-class operation. Kudos to the crew supervisor 'Tim' who is a craftsman and figured out solutions to the problems above.
