Around 2008, our old brick wall caved in on our driveway and we hired Capitol Hardscapes to replace the walls and install a permeable driveway. Decorative cement blocks replaced the brick walls; permeable cement blocks with water storage underground replaced the driveway. The water retention is very effective and the resulting driveway looks great to this day. We also replaced and extended the walkway from the street with slate sidewalk. Unfortunately those pieces have not held up well after 10 years and need significant repairs for missing mortar and loose steps. But the water conservation work works well.
