I used Tim Whistler Plumbing to repair an indoor gas fireplace that was not lighting properly and was very pleased with the service provided by their technician Remi. I mostly do all of my own home repairs and have had very few professional service calls to my house in the 15 years I have owned it. However, I was unable to fix the fireplace and searched consumer checkbook to find a repair company. I was impressed by Tim Whistler's reviews and their fairly close proximity to my location and gave them a call. Here are the bullet points of positives: 1. They were able to schedule an appointment in a couple of days which was great cause I had family coming in for xmas and they love the fireplace. 2. Price quoted on the phone for service was accurate. 3. Tech arrived on time (actually was early and phoned ahead to check if it was okay). 4. Remi was very knowledgeable and answered my questions thoroughly and respectfully. Gave me tips on things to try in the future if I encountered problems again. 5. Examination and servicing of fireplace and components was, in my opinion, thorough. 6.Noted that a component might fail in the future (fireplace is 15 years old) and found part and provided estimate for future repair if necessary. 7. Preformed work neatly and patiently. I know some people are upset at the cost of servicing (a little under $400 in my case), but it takes time for the technician to drive to and from my home for the servicing in addition to the time spent on-site. I would use Tim Whistler again in the future and would recommend.

Tim Whistler Plumbing & Gas Fitting provided outstanding service repair for our natural gas fireplace insert. Chris demonstrated excellent knowledge and abilities in diagnosing, repairing, and servcing the system. Highly recommended.

When we were looking for a company that serviced gas fireplaces, I read through a lot of reviews and noticed reviews for Tim Whistler mentioned Remi for his particular expertise. We made the appointment with Tim Whistler and Remi was assigned to do our service. He lived up to his reputation. We had neglected service on our fireplace for many years and Remi made it look like new again. After his work, it was spotless. He even managed to revive the remote control which seemed beyond repair. I also appreciated how much I learned about our fireplace by chatting with Remi, including what to look out for in the future for potential repairs. Great experience.
