This veterinary practice is exceptional. On multiple occasions over more than 10 years, they were nothing short of a godsend. There were a couple of times when my dog had become ill -- though thankfully, each time it turned out to be nothing too worrisome -- and they were kind, compassionate, responsive, and professional. This past winter, tragically, my dog ultimately came down with cancer -- and I was reeling after his diagnosis. Shockingly, days later, he passed -- it was a horribly aggressive form of cancer. I hadn't been through the experience of having to let a pet go before, and it was brutal; however, thanks to the wonderful veterinarians and support staff at the Metropolitan Emergency Health Clinic, I somehow got through it. They were nothing short of amazing, from start to finish, and I'll forever be grateful to them for seeing me through such a painful experience.

I trust them to do everything possible for my pet in an emergency, and by that I mean EVERYTHING - there is seemingly nothing they don't recommend doing - and charging for. But I know they won't take shortcuts. That said, I hate that they basically take your pet from you at the door and make you wait in a room for - sometimes - hours with little interaction, updates, etc. You may not see your pet again until it's time to pay and leave. Last time we had to to go there got very confusing, as multiple care providers told us different things about next steps. Thus we ended up having to sort through the conflicting advice (some of which totally contradicted the written documentation we'd been given) and use our best judgement about how to proceed.

I have had to take my dog here several times over the last several years. The quality of care has been excellent, the prices high, and the waiting time is inexcusable.
