BUYER BEWARE. RUN! I've had accounts at a dozen banks over my 6 decades and never had the incompetence and rudeness I've encountered at this bank. You don't want a troubled relationship with a poorly operated bank. You will pay and pay in hassles for those few cents you saved on an interest rate that is a sliver lower. I'm sorry that I got a HELOC with them. They did not complete some aspect of their due diligence paperwork properly and have never filed paperwork with regulatory authorities. The staff doesn't understand what they're doing, and I've never gotten a clear or complete answer from them on their problems with their regulators. When they don't know the answer to your question, they will dissemble and change their story. If you have the misfortune of having an account with this bank, stand your ground against their rudeness and make the the staff explain things to your satisfaction. Listen carefully. You'll hear that they don't know what they're talking about. Go to another branch. Better, do business with another bank. If you're frustrated by the "service" at the branch, and try to call the central customer service number, you'll be on hold with the "customer service" line for 40+ minutes. You'll be listening to advertising the entire time, and when you finally reach someone they won't be able to answer your question. For some reason, they aren't able to deliver paper statements through the mail on a regular basis (my other banks and my credit card companies are able to do so). You can't get all your statements on line either. Julia, a senior manager, is particularly rude and excitable and abrasive. If she doesn't don't the know the answer to your question, she adopts a loud and bullying tone, she will actually scream at you, and imply that you're stupid. Other staff members are immigrants who speak heavily accented English. When they feel stressed, they start talking faster and louder and it's almost impossible to understand them. If you ask them to clarify or repeat what they've said, they say something completely different, equally confusing and contradictory. I can't wait to sell my house and close this line, and end my relationship with this lousy operation.
