The RN Cassandra Mendel & Social Worker Allison Furman referred me to a Patricia SEMPALA & her team because she would both be a CNA and help with chores. After P's first full shift, she tried leaving early so I asked her to do a simple chore. She told me "you don't tell me what to do." She continued with "if you don't like me, I will pull my whole team." That would have left my wife dying of cancer without any health care worker. Fortunately, the next shift lady stayed and helped with ironing even after I told her I had to switch to At Home Senior Care, which quickly gave me 2 good CNAs. This is an ongoing "sweetheart" deal between Cassandra Mendel and this uncooperative, lying, lazy woman who should have her license revoked. Rockville/Olney Jan. 2019

I would never recommend Montgomery in home Hospice to anyone. They let me down and my husband suffered at the end. My biggest issue was always misinformation. The intake nurse made it sound like Casey House was always a possible option at some point, but the team they sent the next day, said that was not the case. At the point that my husband only had a few days to live, the weekend nurse assured me that a nurse would come by daily, instead of the usual weekly visit. Again untrue! They did not provide me with the support that they promised. Their motto is to die at home with dignity, but there was no dignity with my husband's death, as he struggled with every breath at the end.

For pleasantness of the staff, majority were nice, but the bad ones were really bad. Responsiveness to weekend emergency very poor. I had to call back several times and repeat story over and over to different staff before response.
