Acme has a good selection of fireplace inserts and the sales staff are knowledgable about their products, but follow through is not the greatest. We ordered a wood burning fireplace insert in November and it took 5-6months before it was in working order. The first installation neglected to hook everything up and a return visit only fixed some of the problems. Then we realized that the insert was not level and that required another visit. Emails were not responded to sometimes for weeks at a time. When they finally did respond they would do whatever was needed, and the technicians were friendly and helpful, but were not always able to complete the work effectively. They did have one technician that was really good, but unfortunately I cannot recall his name (might have been Saul). In short, not a terrible experience, but if I were looking for a fireplace insert again I would try some other shops.

Acme installed gas fireplace insert several years ago in a fireplace with a difficult drafting issue. Insert works very well and we have them do inspection/maintenance annually. Technicians are qualified. Telephone responsiveness is not great though.
