We had a 16' x 16' sunroom and 18' x 20' Trex deck added to the back of our house, and the crew was methodical and clearly very experienced. We are delighted with the results and highly recommend Maryland Sunrooms.

My wife and I had some trepidation about having a sunroom constructed on our deck. We were always leery of contractors and sunrooms purveyors; whether they had the depth of knowledge to professionally complete all the aspects of a four-season sunroom (footing, roofing, electric, HVAC, sub-flooring, drywall, siding, insulation). We would see contractor ads boasting 20-40% off, which gave us even greater pause.
After contemplating this project for fifteen years, and during that time, having interviewed a half-dozen outfits, we began a more rigorous research, in an effort to make the best possible choice.
We looked at Checkbook, Angie’s List, BBB, asked friends and neighbors, and ended up making a decision through the process of elimination. It seemed easier to eliminate the negative and choose from those still standing.
In November 2017 we met with the owner of Four Seasons Sunrooms in Mt. Airy, MD., where he mapped out a design that fit our interests. We custom designed our sunroom, step-by-step, and in great detail, leaving no stone unturned. At that time, the owner gave us a list of previous buyers (over 100 in the immediate area) as a reference list. For me, checking with previous buyers was the best possible source of reliable testimony for us to make a key decision. I contacted eight prior customers and asked them important questions about their experience with Maryland Sunrooms. The responses were overwhelmingly in the contractor’s favor. All responses were positive. Once I completed the vetting process, we signed contract that same month.
The sunroom was started and completed in April 2018. Being retired, we were able to observe all aspects of the construction process.
As of this writing, we have been enjoying our sunroom for five months. I must say that the results met, and exceeded, our expectations. We had so many doubts, even after signing the contract, and during each of the steps of construction. But once it all came together we felt good that we made the right decision and the investment we made was well worth it.
Throughout the process, the owner and the employees of Maryland Sunrooms conducted themselves in a courteous and professional manner; it was clear that they were well trained. Issues surfaced that were not specifically discussed, and we were able to resolve them amicably. They were able to match our existing house siding and roofing perfectly. They took care not to damage our rhododendrons that surrounded the sunroom foundation. They completed all aspects of the project except the painting of the drywall and installation of a floor. We met with and received a quote from another major player in this market, but we were taken aback by their lack of detail in the proposal. We highly recommend this organization and would field any inquiries via e-mail at [email protected].
