I have used Appalachian before and they did a fine job with trimming and cleaning up; however, this most recent visit, I could not have been more disappointed. The technicians showed up at the house (unannounced) before 7am, making noise in their trucks. They then dragged their front loader across my yard several times to remove trim limbs, although this trimming was very much a minor trimming job, where the 4 workers could have easily just carried the limbs to the front yard. And then they left, and made no attempt to clean up the yard, or repair the damage they did to the lawn. I informed Appalachian afterwards, and they said "that's normal"....what? I then informed them I would never use them again. Hire a higher quality tree service and don't waste your money.

I’ve used this company for many years. Their work is professional and complete. They have removed many trees over the years. Their work is done without causing peripheral damage. They always cleanup after their work.

Damage: 1. Our small foundation wall was damaged. At the time, I said the fence was no problem as it was falling down. Your men mended it fine but the wall itself is now somewhat compromised. 2. In the process of taking down our tree, your small tracker went back and forth and destroyed 2 specimen hydrangeas and well as the ground cover, The grown cover is understandable but the tractor mowed down the bushes and nothing is left of them at all except the debris. 3. The worst thing was that our beautiful Assua Dogwood was damaged. This should not have happened at all. I mentioned this on the spot to Jim. Our gardener just assessed the tree and he thinks that the damage is too great and we will lose the tree. 4. Lastly, on the other side of the yard, while trimming one of our large tees, your workman cut off the top of our Rose of Sharon bush.
