I initially found Robert Clubb on the Consumer Checkbook rating list of HVAC businesses in Maryland since I use/read their website and articles. They had a good rating for quality and price so I called him. I told him there was a problem in the master bedroom as it got very cold sometimes while the other bedrooms stayed warm or at the temp set on the thermostat. I have a room thermometer and the master bedroom was 68 degrees while the thermostat was set to 74 degrees. The other bedrooms were 74 degrees. He sent some one out that I THINK - but am not sure - was an outside contractor that he hired. Mr. Clubb was instructing the contractor over the phone as the contractor was inspecting the furnace over the phone. The furnace passed inspection. The initial problem was never dealt with but I asked the contractor to install a new thermostat as the one I had was an old 20 year old Honeywell Chronotherm thermostat and I thought it wise to get it updated. When the contractor gave me the bill for installation of the thermostat I was upset that he did not attend the original problem. The owner, Robert Clubb, said he did no care if I gave him a bad review as he had so many good reviews it did not matter to him. The initial problem was completely avoided. I was not pleased with the contractor that came out because he had to be instructed over the phone and because the initial problem was never attended to. Also the contractor gave me a receipt for costs that did not have Robert Clubb as the business name listed at the top of the receipt. The business name at the top of the receipt was AM/PM Emergency Services. When I called Robert Clubb and Assoc. I did not say it was an emergency. The contractor told me to KEEP the old thermostat in case the new one had problems. I hope I do not have problems with the newly installed thermostat!!!!!!

We had been using a large regional provider to perform our HVAC service for the past few years. The work was satisfactory, as far as I could tell, but the technicians were always finding little things we were advised to do with each service call to bolster the annual service fee we were paying. We decided to see if we could find another provider and checked the listings here. Our issue is that for heating we have a gas-fueled boiler with radiators, and a number of the highly rated firms here do not service that type of equipment. We landed on Robert Clubb and were very satisfied. The appointment was made promptly and was scheduled reasonably quickly. The technician was excellent, very knowledgeable. He made a couple of helpful suggestions. We will continue using Robert Clubb. One note: the firm does not do annual service contracts, but the fee to service our heating system was very reasonable. For routine service calls, one visit to prep our heating system and a second to prep our A/C system will come to just over half of our annual service contract with our former provider. Of course, if something goes wrong with either system, a repair would have been covered by the annual service contract. We will have to see if we made a good bet, but for now we are very satisfied with Robert Clubb.

Robert E Clubb and Associates is an excellent company. Ii has never given me anything but first-rate service.
