Buyer Beware! Stay away! I had an extremely negative experience with ARS/Rescue Rooter when they came to my elderly in-laws' house after their A/C unit went out. They initially proposed replacing the unit at a cost of $18,000. After a grueling three-hour hard sell, they said they would do it for $15,500 if the entire amount was paid at contract signing, which is illegal in Maryland. ARS/Rescue Rooter is an unscrupulous company that preyed upon my 80-year-old father-in-law. Fortunately, I was able to cancel the check, void the contract, and hire an honest company that installed the same brand for $10,500. I strongly advise avoiding ARS/Rescue Rooter at all costs.

Hard to determine if any work was actually performed. Company did a summer check for first time and determined system barely operational and quoted replacement parts totalling $2000 for Option 2 and $4400 for Option 3 which is difficult to determine if that includes a new system. Instead of telling me to come look at the deterioration, the technician showed me pictures of some system on his cell. I think it was a scam as a week or 2 prior to ARS's visit I had an Energy Check on my entire home for leaks and operational quality of HVAC system. And 6 months prior my system was serviced for winter months. No one else found system in disrepair and barely functioning but ARS. I believe ARS was just interested in making money.

JOB: installation of a heat pump for a single room. ARS made technical errors resulting in having to bring in an electrician, causing a significant delay. The product functions well, but getting it installed was a difficult task. Definitely, would not use ARS again.
