I had service recommendations made by my Honda service center. Due to the cost and my questions about the needed services, I took my Honda to Carlos Auto Service for a second opinion. I had used this service in the past for other Hondas. One of the service recommendations was not needed. Other repairs were done at a reasonable cost. I was given thorough explanations by owner, Bill Church. I will continue to use Carlos Auto Service in the future.

We used to be big fans, but the quality has slid a bit. On one service they added, without asking, a $20 "oil additive" to the oil change. When I asked why, I was told that it was because modern motor oils are formulated to maximize mileage, not to protect engines. TBH, I am not sure I believe that. On another service, they told me the car needed a brake fluid change, but when I checked the owner's manual, the manufacturer did not recommend that until many miles later. When I asked I was told that they follow their own maintenance schedule and do not follow the manufacturer's schedule. I really don't want to be paying for services that the manufacturer says I do not need. We won't be going back.
