I had received a quote from Tuckers to replace the motor in the condenser. It seemed high. They charged me $85 to diagnose the unit even though I pay for the twice-a-year inspection plan. I called Dimitri of D & D to get a second opinion. He came out the next day, looked at it, and gave me lots of good information for free. He said Tucker's quote was a bit high, but not outrageously so and that he could do the repair but was backlogged 3 weeks. The unit is old. Dimitri questioned whether to fix it or replace the whole system, an option Tuckers didn't offer. I haven't decided what to do yet.
