I had a serious exterior water line leak. Your Number One Plumber sent a technician out the same day I called and provided a written estimate on the spot for a trenchless water line replacement. Theirs was in the middle of the pack I had received from other plumbing contractors—not super high, not super low. Mario, the technician, explained the whole process as well as issues that might arise that could mean more digging and cost more money. Their website was super helpful in explaining the entire process and the choice of materials to be used in the replacement. It even had drawings. This was the only contractor that provided such level of detail. The job was not easy. Our backyard near the curb shut-off valve was soggy from the leak. The pit around the valve kept filling with water from the surrounding saturated soil. The steel cable for the trenchless replacement didn’t want to go all the way from the interior connection to the curb shut-off. However, Wilmer, Mario, and Adonis managed to manipulate the cable the right way to pass it through the old pipe. When the old piping was pulled through (followed by the new pipe) at the curb shut-off, the reason became clear. The previous homeowner had had the old polybutylene patched in two places—once with a copper section, and another time with PVC, using large couplings. The old line had failed at one of the joints where the copper met plastic. Moreover, the old, blue polybutylene looked badly deteriorated at several points. Once the new polyethylene line was hooked up, our water was restored. Willmer and his team patched the floor in the basement water utility closet as if new, and replaced the soil displaced from the pit they dug near the curb shut-off in a professional manner. They said it would take a day, and a half. And it did. No cost over-runs. No problems. So when it comes to exterior water line replacement, I would say these plumbers know what they’re doing. This was obviously not their first rodeo.

Wilmer Romero is a knowledgeable, experienced plumber. He communicates well throughout the project, describing problems and proposing solutions, explaining the pros & cons of each option. He uses photos and video to document issues and explain them to us. He always arrived when he said he would, let us know exactly what he would be doing when, and completed the work on schedule. He is meticulous and thorough, with close attention to detail and quality of materials and workmanship. We had him install a French drain and sump pump system in our basement. In the process he discovered and repaired other plumbing issues under our basement floor, including replacing our main sewer line that had rusted away, and has ended up re-plumbing most of our house where old pipes installed in the 1930s are giving out. His prices are fair and reasonable for the quality of his work. We intend to use him on future projects.

Called to install kitchen faucet. Unable to complete job properly and misunderstood problem. Came back for 2nd visit and completed job with help of homeowner and manufacturer help desk.
