The project was to dry the carpet, replace the damaged padding, and replace some tacking strips that were damaged by a small leak from a water pipe. The company started the repair the day after I called. The carpet where there was damage was pulled up and blowers were placed under the carpet. Two days later after the carpet was dry, the company sent two workers to finish the job: replace the taking strips, seam the carpet, and reinstall the carpet. The 're-seamig' did not happen because the workers did not bring the tool to do the 'seam' work. I was called the next day for full payment for the repair. I told the company that the job was not finished and that I would not pay until it was finished. I was told that the job was in fact finished but since the ‘re-seaming’ was not on the original job description I would be charged $50.00 for another work crew to come to my home. I again refused. Eventually, I received a call from the owner who said that he would come by and finish the job at no extra charge. It was good that the company came right away. The repair saved the carpet. But…. The owner said he would come by a 10 AM to pick up the blowers; he came by about 5 PM and there was no phone call informing me that he would be late. A question I asked via email to the company informed me that someone would call in the afternoon with an answer. No one called. And then there was the attempt to get another $50.00. Would I recommend this company? No!

I did not comparison shop. I was referred to Father and Son by the carpet shop where I had purchased the bedroom carpet. Father and Son got out two stains that other companies could not get out in prior cleaning in a downstairs family room. They also stretch carpet in an upstairs bedroom as well as clean the carpet and stairs.
