I made the mistake of purchasing an annual maintenance plan on the representation that I would receive priority on emergency repair calls. Naturally our heating system failed on the first cold-temperature weekend of the year. I called Bonsby three times on Saturday, and each time the representative said she would page the staff. No one responded. On Monday morning, I finally received a response from Bonsby offering to set up an appointment. By then another company had already come to my house and made the repairs. Don't waste your money on a maintenance plan with Bonsby or rely on them for a prompt response.

Good service especially after getting through the Covid slowdown. I had a Munchkin (energy efficient/gas) heating unit that replaced an older oil furnace which finally failed. Bonsby came up with a Bosch heater (gas) unit that works great.

I cannot recommend this company, which recently bought outJaffe Electric, a company I have used in the past. Since then, I engaged Jaffee for a number of small jobs, primarily to increase the lighting on a stairway that has a shaded area on the critical last two steps before the sidewalk. We followed their advice as to the type and locations of fixtures that would be needed. The company did not show up as scheduled, and when I called they said they didn’t receive the needed materials on time, but they neglected to tell us. When they did show up as rescheduled, it was almost three hours late. On one of the smaller jobs, the technician used a plastic outlet plate instead of the contracted-for metal plate. But worse than that is the installation of the outdoor lights did absolutely nothing to throw more light on the area. Obviously, you can’t test the throw of light during working hours but we relied on their advice. The situation wound up no better than before we contracted with them.
