Mr. Vincent asked me for the first time to drive to his home to do an updated appraisal for my new diamond ring and to reappraise another ring that I needed to add to my insurance. He was unable to meet me at our regular location in Reston, Virginia where we always would meet, which is 15 minutes from my home because he was not feeling well. Although his prices for appraisals are expensive, I decided to meet with him since he informed me that it would take about an hour to drive to his home from Reston, but it took me over three hours both ways. I was unaware that it would take a full day for him to complete the appraisal of two diamond rings. Once I arrived to his home, I waited for some time while he finished some chores around his house. I asked him, after spending hours at his house while he did his personal things, and because of the long wait, to give me a discount for my time and gas coming out to his home. He refused and was very unpleasant when I left his home. His demeanor was very surprising to me because I've been having him appraise all of my jewelry for many years. He showed no concern or remorse about my having to drive back to Virginia at night.
