PJ calls at 7:30 am to say he'll be at my house for an estimate "at the latest" by 9 am. He arrives at 10:30 am. Stays in his truck in parking lot. I come out and he says "I'm on the phone." About 10 minutes later he finishes up the call. He never mentions or apologizes for the 1.5-hour lateness. We start to talk. He asks me questions I'd already answered the night before in a phone call. Then he says is "You need a new roof." The night before, he'd told me "You've got five years left on your roof. Don't need a new one." Then he says triumphantly: "I told you you'd need a new roof but you didn't want one!" I'd never said that *at all.* I'm fully ready to get a new roof if needed. I tell him he must be mixing me up with another customer. He reluctantly agrees that is possible. Then he gives a quote for a new roof: For a simple townhouse, he wants $17,000. Time to call another roofer.

Good recommendations re the maintenance on our slate roof. Not the cheapest but we trust their work

Beware of this roofing company. The owner can be harsh and abrasive with his tone. He is very high in pricing from other quality roofers. Get more estimates before going with this company. God help you if you have a problem later on.
