HOSTILE AND UNPROFESSIONAL! Two weeks after the initial consult, we sent Gordon a message saying that unfortunately we wouldn't be hiring them, but we thanked them for their time and effort and we wished them well. In response, he sent a completely uncalled for and nasty message claiming that we wasted his time. What kind of person runs a business this way? What if there was a scheduling conflict or some other issue to be resolved -- is this how he would handle it? With anger and hostility?

Gordon Franks gave us a reasonable estimate for the renovation of our kitchen (demo, install floor tiles, Porcelanosa cabinets (difficult), lighting and electrical. Roger and his crew did a fantastic job on everything, and were always good natured, on time and innovative. They were here every day until the job was complete, and the final bill exactly matched the estimate. We highly recommend Optima Designs for any type of home renovation project, especially jobs requiring expertise in the installation of Porcelanosa cabinets and large 2' tiles.

We used Optima Design for several projects (painting and carpentry), and were pleased to use their handyman/carpenter, Randy, to deal with several interior issues. Randy rehung two doors, installed weather-stripping on each those two doors, repaired a broken door handle and replaced a sash cord on a very old wooden window. He was able to come to do these repairs very quickly after Gordan Franks (the owner of Optima Designs) had given me the estimate for the work (which had seemed reasonable to me). I was especially pleased that he had the knowledge to repair a broken window sash, as this seems to be a lost skill. Randy is clearly a very experienced, knowledgable, and competent handyman who brings a deep skill set to his work. I was very pleased with and appreciative of the work he completed in our home. I would highly recommend Optima Designs as a very responsive, competent and professional firm to work with for home repairs and painting.
