Staff is pleasant. Shop is well stocked. Last month brought bike in because disc brakes weren't working. 2 people looked at it and said I needed new brakes but said that those disc brakes were very hard to find. Owner recommended getting new braking system. When I asked the cost, he said $35. But in answers to follow-up questions he admitted that you would need to get a set of 2 ($35 each) and that installation would be $150 or more. I then tried another bike shop. They had many pairs of the disc brakes but said that my brakes just needed adjusting. Got brakes adjusted on the spot. Cost $25. They work fine

Excellent repair shop all around. They give great advice about what needs to be done, do it promptly and fairly. Sometimes don't even charge for a quick adjustment. Very nice people to work with. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Service quality has always been first rate. It may not be the cheapest place, but I can always rely on them to fix the problem, even when it isn't obvious. E.g., one of my tires kept going flat. I repaired it once; flat again. I replaced the tube; flat again. I took it to one bike shop and they looked at it carefully, replaced tube; flat again. I took it to Griffin. They replaced the tube, could find nothing on the wheel/rim that could be causing the flat, but kept it overnight, and sure enough it went flat. They said sometimes there's a small flaw that is hard to detect but causes a puncture in the tire; so that needed to be replaced. No problems since.
