Mr. Haggerty and his associate are excellent. They replaced a malfunctioning smoke detector, discontinued the old electrical alarm system and installed a 52 inch ceiling fan with lights and remote control. Their work and recommendations are highly recommended.

Used Haggerty due to ratings on Consumers' Checkbook. I'm a first-time homeowner, and my home inspector had told me that electrical work was a priority. Mr Haggerty gave me a price for the job and stuck to it, even though his guys had to come 3 times to finish the job (turned out to be larger than expected). They upgraded service to 100 (was unclear what it was before; box and wire did not correspond properly), replaced main box and circuit breakers, and checked all outlets in house, replacing with GFCs where needed, with 2-prong cover where not grounded, etc. They also arranged the permit and the town inspection. Later (separate charge), one of his men came back to verify that there was no knob and tube (signed verification needed for some MassSave work). Did a thorough job and provided me with much interesting information on the history of electricity as we talked.
