We had a front door deadbolt lock that had been malfunctioning for years until it got to the point where we weren't sure if we'd get locked in/out at some point. I contacted MGN Lock after another shop didn't return my call and I can't say enough how excellent the service was. Jonathan picked up on the third ring and after answering my questions, scheduled service for the next day at 1 PM. Greg the technician called me at 9 AM to ask if he could come early because his call was done, which worked for me. He showed up at 9:35 AM and said my 36-year-old deadbolt only needed a thorough lubrication and not replacement. He took the whole thing apart and explained the mechanism while he worked. He also lubricated the deadbolt on my garage access door and then showed my son the right lubricant to use for future maintenance. When testing out the main door, Greg noticed that the bolt wasn't striking properly -- the original installation was not done right and the hole for the bolt was shallow so the bolt was only extending halfway when locked, which defeats the purpose of a deadbolt. He then drilled out the entire hole so the bolt can fully extend. The bill was a lot less than the estimate for a replacement and he was on his way at 10:00! Greg was friendly and polite. He even asked if there was anything else he could do before he left. Our deadbolt lock works better than new thanks to Greg. Easily 10 stars on a scale of 5!

A hidden gem! They not only helped replace a lock but fixed a lock that everyone else said was impossible. Great selection of merchandise that I never knew was available. Good place for all your lock and key needs.
