I have never worked with a company as bad as this one. I should have known there would be a problem when they didn't call back for three weeks, after our landscape designer called them too. The salesman came to the house and immediately began to complain about a medical issue he had with his back. He did do a good job of letting me look through his product book and I picked out a fence style. He took all of the necessary measurements. He emailed me the contract which was correct. I then called him and requested another style of fence and he said ok. He emailed the updated contract. It took a couple of weeks for them to come and install the fence. The installers were nice and very neat. I looked out the front window and the picket fence was fine. When I looked out the back, I was very surprised to see a completely different fence than I had ordered. I immediately asked the installers to stop and explained the problem. They called the supervisor who said he was to busy to talk about it at that time. I did not hear from him the next day, so I called him the following day. He was not at all co-operative and argued with me about what style I was supposed to get. Then the salesman emailed me stating that I had called him a third time requesting another change of style. I wrote back that his statements were completely false. The supervisor then told me it would take a couple of days to find my paperwork. It was about a week before I heard back from him. I asked for him to come and see for himself the paperwork. He did come and when I asked him if he found that I did not order the current fence, he said, "Well, technically you are correct." He told me that the salesman wrote the order one way and then the production team wrote in another style of fence. I don't call that a technicality. I call that incompetence at worst and sloppy at best. He finally agreed to replace the fence. I also asked that the pickets be sanded as they were rough cedar. He told me they came that way. I explained that the salesman had assured me that the pickets would be smooth. I explained that I wouldn't have ordered a rough type of picket as someone walking by the front of the house could get injured or their clothing my catch on it. Can you tell this didn't go well? Luckily for the company, my husband and I decided to keep the fence they installed. An installer came out to sand down the slats, but he had been told to only sand three or four slats! The gates also sagged and needed to be re-straightened. I explained that all of the slats needed to be sanded and another argument ensued with the supervisor. The installer did finally sand the boards properly, but the gates were not leveled correctly. When I pointed this out he told me, "I have been here for 6 hours when I was supposed to only be here for another hour. I have another home to go to. I don't have time to work on this anymore." I asked him who was supposed to fix the gates? He said, "That's not my problem." The gates were never fixed properly. I wouldn't wish this company on my worst enemy. Absolutely terrible. I took the signs down that they nailed to the fence as an advertisement to hopefully avoid anyone else going through this experience.
