Recommend with reservations. If the patient is a high fall risk, they do not put a seat belt on a person in a wheelchair because they are a "No Restraint" facility.

My mom fell head first out of her wheelchair. I pleaded with them to put a seat belt on her so it won't happen again. They said they can't do it. My mom fell again and died as a result of complications that occurred because of that fall.

Other than that, the staff was very pleasant, and tried their best. I do believe they were under-staffed. The food is good, but there wasn't enough variety. Same meal every Monday, etc. Not many surprise meals.

They did have a lot of activities, which I didn't find in other nursing homes. My mom lived for those activities and learned to play many new games.

Rooms are OK, but once my mom was on Public Aid, she was placed in a small room with 4 beds. She could hardly move her wheelchair in the room without bumping into something or asking someone to move something. There was no room to put anything. She had to share a 4-drawer dresser with another person. There was so much stuff (wheelchairs, etc.) in the room that she couldn't even get to the window to look out. We asked to have her moved. She was finally moved, but it only lasted hours, because she was already on her death bed. Then she was placed in a beautiful room where she was finally laid to rest.

Overall, I'd recommend it for people who can pay for their care. However, if it's long-term and would need to get Public Aid, I'd look elsewhere, because most facilities have a long waiting list for Public Aid rooms.
