In the final weeks of my cat's life, the entire staff at VCA, from Katie in customer service to Dr. Foose & Dr. Thompson, made Herculean efforts to provide my cat with the very best care possible. They kept his dignity and happiness as their primary goal. He was a very large, very muscular cat until his illness began to weaken him, and was incredibly difficult to handle. At no time did anyone at VCA treat him with anything other than compassion for the all consuming anxiety that they knew was the root cause of his aggression. They demonstrated so much patience and genuine affection for my "sweet boy, Boo Bear" who in all honesty was anything BUT sweet. (Except to me, he was my shadow for every second of the 10.5 years my husband and I were privileged to share with him.) They pulled out all the stops to provide him with the best care possible. They were just as quick to stop subjecting him to interventional medical care when it became clear that at best they could only buy him some time, and he would have LOATHED every second. Instead, they worked with me remotely to try to keep him comfortable in his final days. And they provided priceless support & guidance for my husband and I to help us make the hardest decision for Bear, when to say goodbye. They helped me to locate a veterinary hospice practice that did home visits, and after we helped Bear to pass to a place beyond pain and illness, the vets sent us the most heartfelt and thoughtful condolence card. Their services are not cheap, but I found them to be very understanding of budget concerns, and the care we got for Bear in those last months was priceless. I can not recommend the care my cat received highly enough!

My poor cat had been going to another Vet and continued to decline. This place could not have been kinder, more knowledgeable and understanding. They guided me a number of times before I went. Once I went they were honest and caring. My cat is nearing the end of his life. Dr Foost helped me to be able to bring him home with medication to keep him comfortable until he passes naturally. I would recommend them highly and wish I had been going there all along.

My cat's parasite condition is now clear because of this facility's help. It was the first time I took my cat there, and it won't be the last.
