We were clients of Doyenne and the firm they broke off from for over 30 years. In 2022, we were considering other firms. To retain our business, Doyenne offered, in writing, a 3 year fee agreement lasting through 2025 and we accepted. They followed up with an email confirming they would maintain those agreed upon fees. In October 2023 they informed us their 2025 fees would be 60% higher than what they agreed to. When we pointed to the agreement, they notified us that their services were terminated immediately and our accounts were delinked with no advance notice, 2 days before Thanksgiving. I believe this was unethical, a violation of their fiduciary responsibilities and an outrageous way to treat a long time client and I recommend against doing business with them.
