My wife and I recently purchased a run-down, 108 year-old row house on Capitol Hill. We wanted to have a considerable amount of work done on the house in a very short time frame, between our closing and our move-in date. On the main floor, we wanted to knock down 4 interior walls and add a half bath. We got 3 detailed quotes. Before we even got the numbers, we thought Adrien was the best based on all the valuable insights he provided during his pre-quote inspection, and his calm, professional demeanor. And then he also put in the lowest bid, and could start immediately, making it an easy decision for us.
He and his team did fast, quality work. All the walls were down in only days. He and his team carefully restored all the walls and ceilings. They found a perfect match for our hardwood floors, and custom-built a great threshold. They were flexible with us when we changed the location of the new half-bath at the last minute. Per our request, they made a big push to get the major work completed before our move-in date, and they met the deadline by working nights and through a Saturday.
We are super happy with the end product. The final costs, which were quite reasonable, came in just as expected.
Adrien gave great advice throughout, both on the work he was doing, and on future ideas for our house. Adrien was super responsive throughout, texting everyday with updates and questions, and calling whenever things needed to be discussed.
We wholeheartedly recommend Adrien. And we plan on hiring him for numerous other projects on our house in the coming years.
