Dogs are individuals and not every one is easy, but that's what most sitters on Rover are looking for. If your dog has stress issues, you need to do a detailed and honest write-up of your pet, ask a lot of questions, consider a short trial visit as well as the free meet and greet. I have had mixed experiences with my high-strung rescue. I prefer to find older people to watch him, they just seem to get him better. Maybe this is age discrimination or profiling on my part, but Rover does not make this kind of searching easy. Be careful and skim every review. Some people have mostly good reviews, but the less positive one could give you pause. I have found two outstanding people on Rover (neither of whom was expensive by Rover standards) but it took a lot of work. I've also had a few of the more expensive sitters flake on me. So don't use price as a guideline.

We've used Rover.com for years and have always found the sitters (typically women in their 20s) to be responsible and reasonably priced.
