I recommend PennyMac narrowly as being adequate for servicing VA mortgages that they have acquired. They were frustratingly perverse, however, in their delays changing the name of our account to reflect estate planning trust provisions, and they have put annoying and persistent pressure on us to refinance. Otherwise, they are quite OK.
