They won't tell you a price before the worker is already at your home presumably because they charge at least as much as hiring the appropriate professional. We had simple tasks that most homeowners could do themselves, but we are old. The worker did both badly, one so badly we had to hire someone else to correct it.

Have been a customer for 18 years. They've done a wide variety of jobs around our house, large and small. Craftsman are knowledgeable, punctual, polite and thorough. Not sure if they're the best value since I haven't shopped around but I've never been dissatisfied with the results.
