Gardeners Guild redid our entire property from design to implementation. Most of this was done when we moved into this house 6-7 years ago so technically I am not following the rule of rating a business that did work in the last year. I am still giving them a rating because it's fair to consider how well the job like this has held up - how the plants have grown in and if any problems occurred with anything else. They did an amazing job. Our yard is across the street from Tilden Park. Our front yard is mostly on a 20' slope. They carefully cleared the property of all sorts of materials and plants. There were 5 plants left after it was cleared. They did an especially excellent job of clearing ivy from the yard - not an easy thing to do. Project manager Paul did a great job of planning the garden. They also did all sorts of hardscaping including redoing patios and walkways and repaving our front driveway. I love to work in the garden and almost every time I'm there I get compliments from a passerby. Since the main project was completed we've hired them to do a few additional tasks, including adjusting the plant mix or replacing a few plants that didn't do well in the yard. A couple of times they've sent someone over to look into a problem. They always responded in a timely manner. About the cost, this was a big expensive project. Their prices were competitive with other businesses doing things like repaving the driveway. The overall project cost was higher than the original bid, but it was reasonable when you factor in the choices we made as far as planting materials went. Nonetheless, it's hard to fit our sense of price within the simple choices the questionnaire has. The people we dealt with were all pleasant and professional. In conclusion, if you're looking for a company to do a big job, you couldn't outdo GG. Highest recommendation.
