In addition, they made a major error in listing our income. They left off my social security income, even though I listed it in their form, and I would have sent in an erroneous 1040 and probably owed interest and penalties had I not caught the error myself. They made another mistake that did cost me interest and penalties. I didn't understand the requirement, but it should have been clear to anyone who knew the tax code. I only figured it out when doing the next year's taxes. I strongly advise against using Eckhoff for tax preparation. They are either sloppy or incompetent.
