Well, it's a tale of two cities: Hugo Cardenas, proprietor of Landtech, truly designed and installed a beautiful drought-resistent garden for us. His style is casual, and our trust was mainly from seeing some gardens he had produced. Most of the plants and grasses have done very well. Throughout the process of landscaping, Hugo confirmed he would also do the maintenance for us on a regular basis. Although he was a bit vague about how frequently he would come, he said once or twice a month depending upon what the garden needed. He arrived one time about 1-1/2 months after the landscaping was (virtually) done and did one full day's cleanup. He billed us for that visit and never returned. Numerous attempts to hear from him via e-mail were unsuccessful. In addition, there were several plants called for on the original plan that Hugo said should be delayed planting until the chance for frost was over. He never brought or planted them. So if you just want the landscaping, it would be insincere for us not to recommend him; but he lapsed both in character and integrity in never communicating with us about his change of mind to maintain.
