Extremely high prices. Most expensive in Marin. Standard items in cans and boxes are 305 or more than other stores.

I have a love/hate relationship to Mollie Stone's. Some of its grocery pricing is substantially above that of larger, mass supermarkets such as Lucky's or Safeway. For convenience and specialty items, I get it - that there's a different economic model. But some of their pricing - esp. when compared to other, higher-end stores - is really excessive. However, I do think the fresh meat department does provide a consistently good product - although some selected offerings, again, are overpriced (one example: fresh frozen farmed shrimps!)
