Thursday, August 22, 2024, 10:15 am PDT Mixed Review for BEST BUY Store #140, 1127 Industrial Road, San Carlos, CA 94010 T: (650) 622 0050 or Best Buy Customer Service #: 1 (888) 237-8289I Information Top 1/3rd of Receipts just above description of purchases 0140 002 9435 (Date) 08/20/24 (Check Out Time at Register) 11:08 AM PDT. My best guesstimate is that I was in this BB Store #140 SC, CA. I was in the store for no more than 15 minutes. My main reason to go shopping is that I needed TWO (2) new CAT-6 Network Cable. The top plastic clip for both cables snapped off. These CAT-6 Cables were not securely attached to my router for internet & print service. I would lose my internet connection & the ability to print out documents on my CANON IMAGECLASS MF26n “Three-in-One” – print, fax, & scan machine. Before I decided to compose & post this Google Maps Review, I needed to be absolutely sure & FACT CHECK my statements. Yesterday, Wednesday, 08/21/2024 @ 1:00 pm PDT, I called Canon USA Technical CS Support Services. The Canon Tech CS Representative listened to my issue & concern. The Canon Tech CS Rep informed me that the CANON IMAGECLASS MF26n needs a NETWORK CABLE to work. The little “n” at the end to the machine’s model # designates – NETWORK CABLE. • PROBLEM, CONCERN, & REASONS FOR GOOGLE MAPS POST I directed into the WEST back area of the store, where the cables that I needed to fix my problem were shelved. This entire “1 Star “ Experience took less than five (5) minutes. I only have seven (7) – thirty (30) seconds to MAKE A FIRST IMPRESSION, which I never can do again. I approached the BB On Floor Sales Associate, I received NO GREETING nor basic courtesy. In retrospect, I need to be much more aware of MY 1st Impressions, if they are immediately “1 Star,” I need to just politely walk away. The 1st negative non-verbal signal this male BB On Floor Sales Associate did was to immediately look at his watch. To me this means the person has no time for me. I stand by this interpretation, as he looked at his watch a SECOND time towards the end of our very brief encounter. I told him what I needed, plus – I wanted cables that were much longer. Things were going OK, then the situation “jumped off the rails.” English idiom used to describe situations become chaotic. I politely informed him that my CANON IMAGECLASS MF26n, which I had successfully been using for over five (5) years needed that NETWORK CABLE to operate. It only operated when I had the cable plugged into the router. I was then able to use my WIFI on my smartphone & laptop to print documents. He listened to my explanation, the BB Associate completely informed me – in no uncertain terms & with an extremely negative, pedantic, & dismissive tone-of-voice, that the cable was unnecessary to operate the Canon ImageClass 236n. What amazed me is that he made this conclusion without even asking any questions for clarification nor informational regarding my machine. I said that I still wanted the extra cable. This did not sit well with him at all. He impolitely LOOKED AT HIS WATCH A SECOND (2nd) time & he left abruptly. Wow. I am glad that I did not listen to this very uninformed BB On Floor Sales Associate with questionable CS Skills. I have worked in retail sales & I have been an On Floor Sales Associate I am aware of the challenges & rewards of this position. I do not adhere to the business motto or slogan, “The customer is always right.” It just does not sit well with me. “5 Star’ CS by the FRONT DOOR Best Buy CS Reception Person. He immediately welcomed me, and he was outstandingly professional, courteous, & just decent. The right person to “Meet & Greet” incoming customers to BB Store #140. “5 Star Experiences” at BB Store #140 same day: 1. The “Greet & Welcome” BB Associate at the front entrance was professional, personable, & listened carefully to my questions. 2. Two BB On Floor Sales Associates – in TV Area in the back of the store, while I was attempting to find the restrooms. They were helpful, positive, & courteous. Thank you for reading this review. L-CJ

Ordered online. Tried to make an appointment for someone to come to the house to help with transfer and installation but they didn't show up. I may have done it wrong but it was not possible to reach them by phone.
