Our garage door wouldn't close. It was a Saturday, but a tech came immediately. He fixed the problem, explained what he was doing as he worked, and even fixed another problem that we didn't know we had. The service couldn't have been better and the price was reasonable, so we plan to use them if we ever decide to replace the garage door.

I'm a customer of R&S Erection in Richmond, where I purchased a new garage door in 2024. I was not only happy with the installation, but also with the follow up service, which I unexpectedly needed recently. I was unloading my car, parked in my home's garage, with the liftgate open. A neighbor came by with her frisky dog, which proceeded to bump my pants pocket holding the garage door remote control. Down came the garage door, which I discovered a few minutes later had tangled with the car's liftgate, making it impossible to fully raise the door. Panic ensued as I feared the worst, with no other way to enter the garage. I called R&S, explained the situation, and they committed to send someone out that afternoon. A few hours later, Hector showed up with a smile. He assessed the situation, noting that there was some space at the at the top of the door. He positioned a step ladder such that he was able after multiple attempts to contort his arm in the top space to free the door. Needless to say, I was very relieved.

I had a situation where my photo eyes had bad wiring and the door was stuck open. The R&S Team (Luis and Fernando) were onsite in less than an hour (after business hours, too) and quickly fixed the problem. The "after hours" rate is pretty high but I don't think they're the only vendor to have such a surcharge for emergency response, and it was great to have the problem solved pretty quickly. They also gave me some good information about getting a new system since mine is probably more than 25 years old.
