The front porch of our home was damaged when our foundation was damaged by the roots of our tree. The house was built in 1908 and the porch was brick. We repaired the foundation and were then lucky to find International Masonry Specialists to repair the porch. They demolished the stairs without destroying the bricks so the stairs could be rebuilt with the same historic look. But first they extended the foundation under the front door and they poured concrete stairs before facing the stairs with old brick. The porch looks better than before, but it is also now a bulwark of strength that increases earthquake safety. They did a first rate job by both respecting the historical look of the house and using modern structural methods to increase stability and strength. They are experts!!
