We hired this contractor to perform the earthquake retrofit of our home to comply with the requirements set out by the California Brace and Bolt program. Mr. McCarthy and his assistant did an excellent job, despite being constrained by the limited crawlspace underneath our house and a major obstruction due to plumbing of the hot water heater. Mr. McCarthy was very accommodating and handled all the permitting with the county. He was invaluable in moving the acceptance by the Brace and Bolt program. His estimate and the final cost was quite reasonable. McCarthy Design Build is a full service construction company and I highly recommend their services.
