Diane has been our accountant for many years and have previously been very pleased with her work. She is conscientious, and honest. However, last year she made an error which would have cost us significant increase in taxes. My husband caught the error and pointed it out. That required extra time on her part because she was not familiar with the reporting situation which caused her error. As a result, our bill for her services was significantly higher. Nor did she acknowledge any error or oversight on her part even though she did make changes to our tax return reflecting that correction. I would have expected an apology or thank you and not be billed for her extra hours that required her training.
