I had cataract surgery on both eyes this past year. Because of an eye abnormality, my left eye could only be helped to a lesser degree than my right eye. I was told this fact based on testing that was done on my first visit to Altos Eye Physicians. I knew that even after surgery I would still need to wear glasses. My eyes before the cataract surgery was like 20/50 in my left eye and 20/30 in my right eye. After surgery and with new glasses, my left eye is 20/40 and my right eye is 20/25 and with both eye my vision is considered 20/20. My brother also had cataract surgery done using Altos Eye Physicians and even thought he is older than me, him eyes are now 20/20 without glasses. I highly recommend Altos Eye Physician to anyone that needs cataract surgery. My surgeon David F. Chang, M.D. is an internationally recognized cataract sub-specialist. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Harvard College and earned his Medical Degree from Harvard Medical School. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of California, San Francisco, where he was promoted to Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology in 1999. He has taught cataract surgery to ophthalmology residents in training for more than 25 years. Dr. Chang is also an Adjunct Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the Chinese University in Hong Kong, one of the leading ophthalmology academic centers in Asia.
