Of all the problems, the worst was that I was working to get Alameda County approval for a solar system installation, which for some unknown reason required checking my septic system. Acorn was supposed to check it, make sure everything was OK, then certify to the county that it was OK. After making one repair myself, Acorn kept telling the county about other completely optional, mostly cosmetic improvements that they had not asked for. As soon as Acorn mentioned an improvement the county then added it to the list of things I was required to do. This went on and on for months while I bought thousands of dollars of supplies from Acorn. Meanwhile the solar system was delayed for over five months, costing me the savings I would have enjoyed if it had been installed earlier, and also increasing the cost somewhat. I felt that Acorn was using this to milk a lot of unnecessary money from me and I resent it.
